Six Days of Painting, Learning and Growing
Day 6, and I can already feel how powerful this 30-day challenge is becoming.
When I started this journey, my goal was simple — to show the real process behind Woodiliya’s hand-painted wooden jewellery. No filters, no shortcuts. Just me, raw wood, paints, brushes, and a lot of patience.
Over the last six days, I’ve painted, made mistakes, repainted, and learned something new every single day. Some days the design flows effortlessly, and on other days, it tests my patience — but that’s the beauty of handmade art. Every earring carries time, effort, and a piece of my heart.
This challenge is not just about creating earrings.
It’s about showing consistency, building discipline, and connecting with people who value slow, thoughtful craftsmanship.
As Woodiliya grows, I want my customers to see more than just a product — I want them to feel the story behind every hand-painted piece they wear.
Six days of painting, learning and growing down, many more to go
Thank you for being part of my journey.

What Day 6 Is Teaching Me About Handmade Craftsmanship?
Reaching Day 6 of the 30-day handprinted wooden earrings making challenge has already shifted my mindset. I now understand that handmade wooden jewellery is not about perfection — it is about presence.
Each day begins with a blank wooden surface and an idea waiting to come alive. Some designs turn out exactly how I imagined them. Others surprise me completely. Mistakes become lessons, and lessons become improvements.
This process reminds me that growth as an artist does not happen overnight. It happens in small, consistent steps — brushstroke by brushstroke.
Through these six days, I have learned:
- Patience creates better detailing
- Consistency builds confidence
- Imperfections make handmade art unique
- Practice improves technique
The beauty of a hand-painted wooden earring lies in its individuality. No two pieces are ever exactly the same — and that uniqueness is what makes handmade jewellery special.
Behind the Scenes of Day 6
Day 6 was not just about painting. It was about reflection.
While working on today’s design, I realized how much courage it takes to share the real process openly. Showing unfinished pieces, mistakes, and corrections is vulnerable — but it is honest.
The 30-day handprinted wooden earrings making challenge is slowly becoming more than a creative exercise. It is shaping my discipline as an entrepreneur and strengthening my connection with my audience.
When someone wears a pair of Woodiliya earrings, I want them to feel:
- The patience behind each layer of paint
- The intention behind every pattern
- The heart behind every creation
Handmade wooden jewellery carries emotion. It carries effort. It carries story.
And this journey is just getting started.
The Journey Continues...
This six days of painting, learning and growing is a reminder that growth is gradual. The journey of painting, learning, and growing continues with renewed motivation.
With 24 more days ahead, I am excited to explore new color palettes, experiment with new patterns, and push my creative boundaries further.
